EVERYDAY PEACE INDICATORS AND PHOTOVOICE

Everyday Peace Indicators (EPI) employs a participatory approach to the generation of indicators of difficult to measure concepts such as peace, reconciliation and co-existence.  Working with conflict-affected communities to identify and track their own measures of peace, EPI investigates how bottom-up indicators and the information they generate can be meaningfully integrated into policy processes. In Colombia, EPI is working with the Colombian Truth Commission to integrate photovoice projects alongside their participatory indicators process. The aim is to use the storytelling and transformative potential of participatory photography to extend and amplify the EPI method and to catalyse dialogue in communities and with policy and public audiences. I am working with EPI as their Photovoice Associate to support the delivery of their photovoice project in 3 regions.
