SERVICES

I work with universities, NGOs, charities, arts organisations and individual practitioners to offer a variety of services

PROJECT CONSULTATION: I design, manage and deliver initiatives working with participatory visual methods and strategies for research, community development, evaluation, engagement, communications and advocacy.  I often work to support NGOs, universities, researchers and institutions who are undertaking participatory visual projects for the first time, advising and facilitating the whole process from staff training to strategic planning and ethical practice.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION:  I conduct programme monitoring and evaluation and impact assessments using multiple qualitative, narrative and participatory methods. I specialise in evaluating arts based and creative projects using adaptive evaluation and monitoring strategies that seek to understand change and impact from multiple perspectives.

TEACHING AND TRAINING:  I teach photovoice, participatory photography and visual methods courses both online and in person.  I have delivered workshops, courses seminars and lectures for a variety of different kinds of learners from undergraduate and post graduate university students, professional photographers, community workers, NGO staff and professional researchers and evaluators.  Having worked across disciplines and sectors, I specialise in tailoring teaching in photovoice and participatory photography methods for different groups from peace-builders to health researchers, development workers and photography students.

MENTORING AND SUPERVISION: I provide tailored supervision to individual practitioners undertaking photovoice and participatory visual projects either as PhD or independent projects.  Through online sessions delivered over extended periods I provide support on all areas depending where the need lies.  This can include research and project design, strategy and planning, workshop design and delivery, ethics, problem solving, participatory visual theory, materials, resources and case-studies, impact assessment and reflexive practice.
